Inspired by love-letters across time and distance, this imaginative programme combines English songs of love and longing with the luscious musical language of Polish composer Karol Symanowski and haunting songs by Johannes Brahms. Running through the recital are echoes of the 14th century Persian poet Hafiz that have inspired visions of utopia for centuries.
